Will you give into me in your utter weakness?

The most monumental decision we face in the day to day…

Will you give into me in your utter weakness?

If we’ve lived we know life contains the most unlikely of circumstances. An actual guarantee in the Word… trials and tribulation, testing to prove the genuineness of our faith. It’s just what it is. In His infinite wisdom He created a process to lead us in the perfection of our souls.

It’s just going to happen. It may look a little different case by case. But however it may, it will come.

The choice is always ours, what will we do when we are sinking in the storm waters?

The options are many and the out comes are just variables.

There is just one thing this Man of Wonder is after and it’s the heart of man. In His wisdom He fashioned man in weakness. He knew what He was getting into and He’s committed to the process, the FULL process of Redemption and Restoration.

Humility truly is the invaluable gift within.

It’s there that we can come to Him in E V E R Y season of the soul. E V E R Y single season.

It’s in the good and the bad. When I’m in need and when I have no lack (which in all actuality is never, I’m always in need of Him).

Pride, so rich in deception, sends lies so deep. It’s pride that convinces us that “we can do it”, help is for the weak not we’re not weak.

Pride is a root of destruction
While
Humility is the foundation of life

I must say, it’s so ok to be weak. It’s even better to be ok with being weak and in that place of knowing and admitting we are utterly incapable. It’s humility to say “I know I’m weak, I know you are strong, come perfect what You are in me.”

That my friends is what it is all about.

It’s each’s own to choose, our own or His in the day to day.

For the sake of His Name

I love the Word of God.
And I love when the words on the page come alive, becoming more than just mere words.

I love the beauty of the story.
The God of creation painting a picture to communicate the love in His heart for us.

I love the book of Ezekiel.
You never hear much about that one but every time I open it up and set my heart to trek through, the Lord really speaks.
I know, it’s what He does, it’s the beauty.

Today’s nugget:

But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.

He is Holy.

His name is Holy.

Righteous.

True.

Not to be defiled or taken from.

Ezekiel 20
echos for the sake of My name, four separate times.
He is after some thing of such value.

Its just what it’s all about.

He poses the question day in and day out in many different ways,
My beloved one…
do you trust me?
will you trust me tomorrow if it looks nothing like today?
do you know I AM good?
will you take me at my word?
will you believe when your eyes don’t have a way to see?

I’m not sure He asks because He’s short of an answer but it’s a way He shows us what’s in our own hearts.

And it’s a journey…
I have so much learned behavior that needs to be unlearned. So much in my heart screams trust in what to see, trust in man, just do what you want, follow your heart, have fun. But He’s awaiting patiently for me to come and drink deep of His goodness on this journey toward Love leaving all else behind.

Saying yes, isn’t just found in choice words or sung with a fancy melody. Saying yes, takes feet.

It’s a journey.
And we all stop and take in the beauty along the way but we can’t stop moving till we get to where we are going, if we really want to get there.

His promise is good and that’s what I HAVE to learn.

The righteous cry, and the LORD hears And delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones, Not one of them is broken. The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned. (Psalm 34:17-20, 22 NASB)

nine ten twelve

waves beat and winds batter
she’s small
she’s helpless
she’s feels alone
but there’s a light

a light that keeps shining
when the darkness is all around
as it get’s darker
it’s a light that grows brighter

pain is deep
but hope is strong
hurt comes close
but love is great

7 days out.
In a mere 170+ hours my life will be packed into a suite case and loaded into 1 white van. Why? Because Jesus is worth a little discomfort…and I was made for something more than me.
This week I have been reading through old journals and I’ve ran into a few of those Prophetic Words you get and think “This awesome but I’m just going to slip that into my pocket because that’s craziness”.
So with that said, I’ve actually been highly encouraged as I have been deeply reminded that I really am made to call people into freedom and connect the church with the matter of the Father’s Heart. And that I will joyfully do.It’s more than a fun thought or good idea, it’s who I am and it’s really going to happen as I partner with Him.
As I sink into this last week of preparation I am so expectant of what the Lord has for this tour. I have a wonderful team and we all know that this is so much bigger than just a film about human trafficking but it’s about the declaration of the Hope of the Gospel and the heart of God for real encountering and transforming lives.
Amen.

11 days out.

I’m thankful for the kindness of one so rich
I’m thankful for the grace given in my dispair
I’m thankful that strength is given in humility
I’m grateful for a good Shepherd
Faithful Friend
Fearless Father
True and Living God
I’m not alone but invited on this journey
To play my part in the story, to give and serve beyond myself

I’m on a journey with a clear mission
With one goal in sight
When I feel weak, inadequate or ill-equipped
It’s so freeing to remember
it’s not about me or what I can and can’t do
It’s all about the One far greater
It’s because Jesus is deserving of having the desire of His heart fulfilled.

There is such excitement and joy on this journey and it’s so unceasing, ever increasing. I’m thankful.
On September 2nd, my team of four will be packing up and hitting the road. For 10 weeks we will be touring the East Coast proclaiming the message of Freedom and Hope that is only found in Christ Jesus while exposing the darkness of Sex Slavery. Stopping along the way, at churches and college campus showing the Nefarious Documentary.
Right now, We are currently in training, preparing for the upcoming mission, going deep in the Theology of Justice, praying for encounter and revelation of the Fathers heart as well as studying up on the injustice at hand and participating in local outreaches of victims of prostitution.
Please be in prayer as we prepare and do local outreach here while still in Kansas City. There will be 3 teams touring the country with this same message this fall, west coast, central and east coast. Please Pray for open doors and open hearts, as well as protection and grace as we run in this fight against modern day slavery.

…praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ…Colossians 4:3

Step.
Wednesday marked the next step in this journey toward Love that I’m on. I am in awe, shock, and excitement of what I am getting to be apart of…
For the next 3 1/2 months I will be volunteering full-time with Exodus Cry sharing the message of Hope while bringing awareness to the evil of Human-Trafficking through the first film of a 3-part documentary called Nefarious: Merchant of Souls.
About 7 years ago the Lord set me on this journey of discovering His great heart of Compassion in the midst of the dark injustice of human trafficking. I am excited to travel with this message and partner with what He is doing in the earth to bring freedom and hope to those held captive by sin and depravity. As stated in 1 John 5, The testimony of the Son of God is greater than the testimony of man.
His heart is undoubtedly concerned with those trapped and oppressed in darkness and I believe He is looking for those who will choose to partner with Him in this. Just like in the days of old.
